Go to pagespeed.web.dev (Google’s free PageSpeed Insights tool). Enter your website address and click Analyse. Look at your Mobile score. If it’s below 50, your website fails Google’s performance standards, which directly suppresses your rankings.

Open Google and search “site:yourwebsite.co.za” (use your actual domain). This shows you every page Google has found and indexed. Count those results, then count how many pages your website actually has. If Google has significantly fewer, it’s missing pages that should be ranking.

In Google Search Console (free to set up at search.google.com/search-console), click “Pages” in the left menu. Red entries are pages with errors. Orange are warnings. Every single one of these is a problem affecting your rankings.

Check if your website works properly on a phone. Open it on your mobile browser and try to read it, click the menu, and find your contact information. If anything is hard to use, Google knows about it and it hurts your rankings.
